My name is Michael Minogue, and two years ago, I decided to sell my house of 20 years. My house was located on Manor Drive in the town of Poughkeepsie. It was located in the sub-division known as Scenic Hills/High Acres.
Selling a home is not always an easy decision, and with the general economic down turn, not a very timely decision, however, having made the decision to go forward, I decided to engage Dianne as my Real Estate Agent. The house was listed in early October, 2009.

Choosing Dianne as our broker was the easiest part of deciding to list our home in the fall of 2009. Her first visit to assess our place was honest and accurate, as much as I hated to hear it. We were in the process of painting, the house was a mess and she advised us to list at a price about $25k less than we really thought the place would sell for. But her list price was very realistic in the market place at that time. It motivated me to finish painting, decluttering and staging for her next visit when we were ready to list. Her expectations--and listing price--increased by the same $25k we wanted and our house sold two days later at its first showing! Selling was the easy part for us. After our whirlwind sale, and pushing up against the expiration of the first time home-buyers tax credit (our buyer needed it), we needed a place to live. When we decided there just wasn't anything on the market that suited us, she found a builder in our price range and attended the first several meetings with us while we worked out the details. When it seemed possible that our deal might fall through, she immediately began looking for new listings that might work for us and showed us 5 more before we finally started to build our dream home.
